This is Dolapo

Welcome! Welcome! You have graced the land of everythingdolapokuffy. I apologise sometimes I go a little overboard; I just wanted to make a dramatic entry. Ignoring my initial grah grah, my name is Dolapo; I am currently a university student, and this blog is going to be based on everything about me (mostly my obsessions… hair, music and hopefully some fashion posts). I really hope this blog improves writing (and typing) skills, because I am going to ramble about everything!!…lol.

I am now an absolute hair fanatic. I'm just interested with all things hair; from styling to hair care. I have always struggled with my hair. It wasn’t always easy to manage, not easily responding to moisture and needing that extra TLC. My hair always maintained shoulder length and I never really thought about growing it out. I had no clue on how to care for it, always leaving my hair down (always!!!), and heat was my best friend, every time I had access to a flat iron I would use it.

My hair journey took off when I started to experience breakage and had no idea how to stop it. I decided to search for answers on the web and boy did I get them. I discovered a whole new world of hair!!! So many methods, phrases and expressions that were completely new to me, it was my “Eureka” moment.

 

My whole mindset on hair has changed and I now know that African hair can so grow. People still laugh at my efforts saying things like, “You have time o” or “You better stop deceiving yourself”. At some point it got to me and was almost throwing in the towel, but seeing my hair progress in just two months!!! I am urged to keep going; I know the progress might not always be quick and requires a lot of patience which I am ready for. I officially started my hair journey in March 2014; my current goal is Armpit length by December 2014. I dream of that day when I’ll be like, “In your face” to them unbelievers.

Apart from hair (which is a major part of this blog), there will be also a few posts on my music. I seem to be losing my sense of style but I will get it back. I currently a few goals I plan to achieve in this area. Let's keep our fingers crossed.  There is so much in store for y'all. So that’s my quick introduction. Thanks for stopping by.
